German Design Award díjátadó
Michael Michalsky világhírű tervezőt, a Michalsky Living dizájner cég vezetőjét óriási megtiszteltetés érte, ugyanis az általa tervezett Metropolis tapétakollekciójáért átvehette a German Design Award díjat.
Ez a díj a Német Dizájntanács internacionálisan kiosztott díja, melyet a tanács minden évben a legkreatívabb, legkülönlegesebb művészeti alkotásnak ítél oda. 2017-ben a döntés az A.S. Création márka Michalsky által tervezett Metropolis tapétakatalógusára esett a választás.
Az „Otthon és Textil” kategóriában a kollekciót külön kiemelték, mert a tanács szerint a kollekció nem csak kreativitása, különlegessége díjazandó, hanem a tapéták praktikussága, könnyű felhelyezése is igazán fontos szempont, hiszen így a katalógusnak sikerült egyesítenie a dizájnerek elképzeléseit illetve a gyártók prioritásait. Michalsky és természetesen az A.S. Création csapata is megtisztelve érzi magát.Michalsky-t a kollekció készítése során a világ nagyvárosai, metropoliszai ihlették meg, a katalógus összes tapétája egyedi, mindnek megvan a saját története, hiszen minden egyes modell egy bizonyos város hangulatát hivatott megidézni. A tapéták színei, motívumai, anyagai mind tükrözik Michalsky jól ismert, csak rá jellemző stílusát. A kollekció voltaképpen a nagyvárosi élet egyfajta modern, változatos és elegáns interpretációja.

MICHALSKY LIVING, the world-famous German star interior designer Michael Michalsky has been awarded the German Design Award for his current wallpaper collection “METROPOLIS“. The German Design Award is the German Design Council international prize. Each year, the most cutting-edge entries from the product and communications design area are awarded with this internationally acclaimed prize. This year, the jury decided to award the current wallpaper collection METROPOLIS from the MICHALSKY LIVING brand world.In the category “Home Textiles and Home Accessories“, the collection won a “Special Mention“, the jury focussing on the products whose designs offer particularly successful solutions and, as such, signify the commitment of the companies and designers. Both the market leader A.S. Creation as well as Michael Michalsky are delighted about the award, honouring their collaboration.The designer was inspired by the world’s many metropolises. The patterns of the wallpaper are as unique as the namesake of the collection. Each model conveys the flair of a particular city and gives your living space that exclusive feel. The models, materials and the colours of the wallpaper are characteristic of that particular Michael Michalsky designer style–modern, stylish and diverse in its interpretation of the relaxed, urban living space.
